Study in China
Is China a good option for Pakistani students?
For medicine, engineering and technology, China offers established public universities at costs that many families can plan for. The right choice depends on your marks, budget and the recognition you need at home, which is what our first consultation covers.
When are the intakes?
Most degree programs start in September. Some universities run a March foundation intake that leads into the September degree start. We confirm dates for each university and year.
Do I need to know Chinese before I go?
Not for English-taught programs. You will study Mandarin during your degree, and some programs require HSK levels by certain years.

Yes. Guangzhou UM Consulting Co., Ltd. is our registered entity in China, and our leadership travels regularly to partner campuses.
Can you verify your university authorizations?
Yes. Our authorization letters from partner universities are published on our Study in China website, and we share them in consultation on request.
MBBS in China
How long is MBBS in China?
Usually six years, made up of five years of study and a one-year internship. Some universities structure it slightly differently.
Is MBBS in China recognised by PMDC?
Recognition depends on the specific university and program and on current PMDC rules. We confirm this for your university before you apply.
What is the difference between MBBS and Clinical Medicine?
MOE-listed MBBS is taught in English at approved universities. Clinical Medicine at other universities is often bilingual or in Chinese. Entry criteria and licensing paths can differ.
Do I need to learn Chinese?
Yes. Even on English-taught programs you study Mandarin, and HSK levels are often required before clinical rotations with patients.
Is there a March intake?
Some partner universities offer a March foundation program that leads into the September MBBS start. Ask us about the current year.
Are there MBBS scholarships in China?
Full scholarships for English-taught MBBS are rare. Be careful with offers that promise them. We explain what support is actually available.
