Why study MBBS in China
Public medical universities
Our partners include Jilin University, a Project 985 university, and Chengde Medical University, a dedicated medical institution with its own teaching hospitals.
Structured clinical training
Programs include clinical rotations and a compulsory internship, typically in the final year.
Planned costs
Fees are usually lower than private medical colleges in many countries. We give you the confirmed fee sheet for your university before you apply.
Support for families
We stay in contact with parents for the full six years and report academic or disciplinary concerns early.
MBBS (MOE listed) and Clinical Medicine
China's Ministry of Education maintains a list of universities approved to teach medicine in English to international students. These are usually referred to as MOE-listed MBBS programs. Other universities offer Clinical Medicine in a bilingual or Chinese medium.
Both lead to a medical degree, but the teaching language, entry requirements and licensing path can differ. We explain which one fits your marks and plans before you choose.
Recognition before anything else
Before applying anywhere for medicine, check two things: that the university is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools, and that your home regulator recognises the degree for licensing. For Pakistani students that regulator is the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), whose rules for foreign graduates are updated from time to time.
We check recognition for each university and intake before recommending it, and we explain any exams you will need to pass after graduation.
