Recognition before anything else
Before applying anywhere for medicine, check two things: that the university is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools, and that your home regulator recognises the degree for licensing. For Pakistani students that regulator is the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), whose rules for foreign graduates are updated from time to time.
We check recognition for each university and intake before recommending it, and we explain any exams you will need to pass after graduation.
Eligibility and documents
- Intermediate / FSc Pre-Medical, A-level or equivalent with Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Minimum marks as set by the university and by your home regulator
- Valid passport
- Medical examination report and police character certificate
- Any entrance exam or English test required by the university
Tuition, living costs and recognition rules change. We share figures only after confirming them with the university for your intake, and we do not recommend universities whose recognition we cannot verify.
